A Valentine’s Day presents from Rob a year ago was a Korean cooking class at ICE (Institue of Culinary Education). We had a great time and learned (and ate) a lot. Here are some pictures I took during that class!
The teacher-chef Youngsun Lee told us then that he was opening a Korean restaurant in the East Village. Well, his restaurant Persimmon opened pretty recently and we’re having our rehearsal dinner for family and out-of-town guests there on Friday, May 15! We’re in for a real treat.
To make things even more exciting, Chef Youngsun is going to make my favorite Korean dish ever, Jae Yook Kimchi Bok Eum, as a special item in addition to the tasting menu options we’ll have. I could eat Kimchi Bok Eum (and tacos) every day. Get ready to be in Korean culinary heaven!
